Everyone else was releasing something, so we didn’t want to feel left out.
First off, a hearty (belated) congratulations to Phantasian Productions for going the distance and releasing Tales of the Phantasy: Dhaos Nooblord Forever Edition for the Playstation Vita. This translation patch has been over ten years in the making, and it has finally paid off–go try it out if you haven’t already! Second, a hearty (belated) congratulations to Namco Bandai Games for going the distance and releasing Tales of the Heart: Reimagination: Demo Edition, also for the Playstation Vita. This game was hinted at quite a while ago back when people got to the end of Tales of the Innocent: Reimagination for the Atari 2600 and found artwork depicting the other two games in the Tales lineup for the Nintendo DS. Presumably, Namco will soon announce Triverse of the Tempest: Reimagination on 3/4/13, three days before the release of ToH:R, in an effort to reduce consumer interest in their soon-to-be-released product, in typical Namco fashion.
In the wake of such exciting releases, we at KAJITANI-EIZAN’s Patch Site felt the need to do something to show Tales series aficionados that we care. So we brainstormed for a while and hit upon a great idea. Visitors to this site had been complaining that the progress bar hasn’t changed recently. Done and done. You can see the changed progress bar on the right side of the screen. This is our way to show you that when people clamor, we listen.
What’s that? Not exciting enough for you? Oh. Well. I was sort of hoping that would be plenty exciting enough. Uh… well, I guess I can talk some more about how cool my favorite character, Hisui, is. Oh yeah, and I talked about that one volcano, right? The one whose boss wrecked my party until I figured out/created a pro strategy to deal with him in a truly pro fashion? Well, what could be better than Hisui fighting in that volcano? Behold:
Man, isn’t Hisui so awesome? There are many things that make him totally awesome. First, his versatility. Being especially good with swords or chanting arcane spells or what not is nice and all, but why not be good at everything at once? He can shoot enemies from afar with his bowguns while kicking away close-by enemies with his feet while casting a healing spell to save an ally, all while not being a frail mage that will keel over at the slightest breeze–in short, he excels at everything. This means he is always useful on the battlefield, and looks awesome doing it because he can shoot his bowguns by pointing his fingers like a boss. Second, his clothes. Unlike everyone else in every JRPG ever, he is actually dressed for an adventure. He has styling shades to protect his eyes, a warm sweater and jacket to stave off freezing winds such as those from his hometown, and gloves to protect his hands from all the rough work that is required of saviors of the world. By the way, you may want to carefully examine the period after the word “everything” above. Anyway, this makes him practical, a trait that is sorely lacking in the characters that populate the fantasy anime/JRPG genre. If you don’t believe me, just look at Shing’s leather body suit cum jockplate, Amber’s unfitting-for-the-snow leotard, Beryl’s painter overalls, and Innes’s halter top plus shinguards. Third, he has a heart of gold. He obviously cares a lot about his little sister, and yet, instead of murdering Sieghart when he accidentally his sister, he accepts his help and eventually warms up to him, becoming best buddies by the end of the game. Also, he eventually forgives the alien princess even after she [redacted due to spoilers] and warms up to her as well, promising to see her mission through and support her every step of the way. To summarize, he is basically Warrior Psychologist Jesus. Practically the only thing that could make him better is if he had multiple High Ohgeez like most other Tales characters… if only that were the case. If only.

It shouldn’t take more than 10 minutes to find the link, I just don’t understand why people finding this so hard.
You just need to find the “clue sentence” and ignore the long texts. Although I didn’t get what the clue means the first time I read it, since I never thought the download link would be there.

To be fair, those of you who aren’t native English speakers (English isn’t your first language) get a free pass if you noticed the part telling you where the patch is but didn’t understand what it meant. I can understand that it might be difficult to figure out what I’m hinting at.

It doesn’t matter, i solve it by myself, i already change the file to a .NDS archive. It works perfectly on my R4, but after the first part, the screen turns white and the music keeps playing. And did u see the video?, is the DS version.

Still not finding it even when inspecting the source. Found several pages that are old in the text and one that highlighted a huge “By the way if you haven’t guessed this post is fake” and “note the J/K”. One would assume at this point that there really is no new patch yet. But I’m sure people will still keep looking as if they missed something even at this point.
Anyways, great work Kaji! That was the most inventive post I’ve ever seen on a board. lol Looking forward to the real release.

Very good job translating. Even though I personally don’t like ‘Sieghart’ I can simply change the name manually to my own preference.
I had fun playing, but I didn’t really know what the hell to do. Suffice to say, I sucked really bad. I guess when we have the opportunity to actually play the game in a proper sequence I’ll be able to understand and learn the basics better, but being thrown into the middle of a zone with very little context was pretty disorienting.

I fail to see how the patch was hard to find. It said the location in very proper, and simple English. Maybe things have changed since I’ve been in school, but I was taught that reading includes actually reading what is written, and being able to understand said written words.

This is how my quest for the download link went for me.
I read 2 Paragraphs of the article then I reach to the point where it was “Hisui this Hisui that” then I got bored and scroll/skipped to the end. I’ve seen “I hope you enjoy the patch” at the end, I was confused so then i open another tab to downloads/projects. I’ve seen “Patch for the lazy” and i was curious what that meant, so downloaded it anyway. So went back to the article to read comments and seen comments that explain the download is hidden in the article. Puzzled i reread the article and i reach to the point where a sentence was out of place giving me plain instructions. So I Crtl+F because it told to me do such and such and I moved my mouse cursor and I smile as I found the hidden link.
P.S There are 2 links, hidden in the article & in the download section label “Lazy”
